History

The year was 2001. Danuta Bartoszek hung up the running shoes – having competed in the Olympics in ’96 and World Championship (four times)… and even placing Top 3 in the Chicago Marathon – she was ready to embark on a new journey.

Cue: HOSPITALITY.

Yes. You read that correctly – from athleticism to hospitality.

The largest Polish Parish in Canada was centrally located in Mississauga. However, there was a lack of hospitality centres to accommodate the Polish community and all of their milestone celebrations – be it weddings, baptisms or communions. For this reason, Danuta and her family acquired a banquet hall called Banquet Royale in 2001 and embarked on a venture that had the entire family working and learning the ropes.

Fast-forward two decades, and the business has expanded to what is now the current Millennium Gardens location. The venue accommodates twice the amount of guests, and it caters to more than just Polish clientele.

The expansion of the business is a true testament to Danuta’s commitment, dedication and perseverance – much like her persistence and endurance when competing. The entire MGBC team has put in tireless work, and the results speak for themselves.

At your service.

Mission & vision

The history and origin of the term “banquet” is an extraordinary one. Dictionaries refer to banquets as feasts held for special occasions or achievements – honouring people or a special purpose. We absolutely adore this romantic connotation.

However, over the years the word has derived a bad reputation – with implications that “banquet food” is bland and boring. Millennium Gardens Banquet Centre is here to prove this notion wrong; our PRIORITY is serving hot, homemade meals in a streamlined fashion set amid a chic setting.
